UA-NFV (UANGEL-Network Function Virtualization)

NFV technology is a network architecture technology that separates dedicated hardware and software from legacy network equipment by using virtualization technologies, and applies network functions into universal x86 servers. This is evaluated as one of the essential technology of 5G network along with SDN technology. Currently, ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute), which announced the concept of NFV in 2012, has been standardizing NFV technologies.

UA-NFV provides all functionalities of NVFI (Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure), VNF (Virtualized Network Function) and NFV-MANO (Management & Orchestrator) defined by ETSI standards. By introducing UA-NFV system, mobile operator is able to apply network functions into a virtualization environment through low-cost x86 universal servers with high performance instead of expensive dedicated hardware. At the same time, when adopting a new service, mobile operator is able to apply the new service into the virtualization environment of the existing hardware easily and rapidly without purchasing additional hardware.
