UA-NGIN

UA-NGIN

(UANGEL-Next Generation Intelligent Network)

The IN (Intelligent Network) enables service implementation without changing structure, when applying various additional communication services. The UA-NGIN provides an optimal solution that satisfies both network stability and cost-effectiveness at the same time, regarding quick service development or reusing the existing service in connection with new network (LTE/IMS) establishment in the service provisioning environment of the existing WCDMA network.

System
OCS (Online Charging System) A system that performs the charging function in real-time on an IMS network.
IMS-GWF (IMS-Gateway Function) A system that processes real-time charging calls and provides additional services on an IMS network (IMS-GWF, IN-AS integration)
MRF (Media Resource Function) A system that performs media processing on an IMS network.
SCP (Service Control Point) A system that provides various intelligent network services on a WCDMA network.
IP (Intelligent Peripheral) A system that performs media processing on a WCDMA network.
Key features
  • Providing the interface environment based on global standards such as 3GPP, ETSI, and IETF
  • Providing a service implementation environment based on rules and SLEE (time-to-market)
  • Providing convergent service based on a single system on all communication networks such as WCDMA and LTE/IMS.
  • Saving costs and ensuring service continuity by reusing existing intelligent network services on the new network.
  • Ensuring strong network interface compatibility by adopting the internally-developed protocol stack.
  • Ensuring high availability by making major system parts and software redundant.
Major references
  • Provided the real-time charging solution that integrates WCDMA and LTE/IMS (voice, text, data, roaming data, and contents)
